“Magical. It takes some time to get to the Villa and be aware the roads are not paved or flat. All wheel drive helped a lot. the trips is worth it though. If you are looking for nightlife and action. this is not the best choice. If you are looking for tranquility and a truly immersive Costa Rica experience this place is perfect. The people in town were great and everywhere we ate was delicious. We were also lucky enough to have the caretaker Lisbeth make a few dinners and she is a great cook....

“Luna Azul was the perfect base of operations for our vacation. We absolutely loved the remote and peaceful atmosphere, and especially the incredible views. Days spent at the house around the pool were a great way to relax and unwind. The location was also ideal for exploring the Nicoya peninsula. We enjoyed a coffee plantation tour, horseback riding, surfing at several of the nearby beaches, and touring the small beach towns. “Absolutely amazing 4 nights here. Beach is remote and empty. Great ocean waves were fun with teenagers. They took Eddies surf class down the road at San Miguel surf school and had a great time. “One week before arrival i replied to the emails send by vacasa/vrbo; 3 emails to ask for local persons contact. Did not receive any reply on the emails. So we had to wait by the gate. Had to call to vacasa USA, several calls, a mess. Once entered the property, big was the surprise when we saw the walls full of dirty traces in all chambers! Oxidation from the fans made a complete mess. Bedsheets, walls, all full of sprinkled oxidation. Also only 1 towel per person for the whole stay (4days!)...

“L’endroit en général est très bien situé si vous aimez le repos et la plage . Les chambres sont propres mais on y retrouve quand même quelques insectes ( ce qui est normal au Costa Rica) . La cuisine extérieure est très utile et la vue est superbe . L’école de surf à proximité était super également ! Nous récompensons ! ”
